Ragon Industries is a privately owned company and is ISO9001 certified that was established in 1997 with the goal to specialize in the manufacturing of valves for slurry applications and other high abrasive applications.

At that stage Ragon only marketed our ball valves for high abrasion and high temperature. We soon found that there was a great demand for a more compact valve to replace existing diaphragm valves in the mining industry. The need for proper control in a demanding market also put some pressure on clients to make use of a valve not designed for control in order to automate their plant processes.

Ragon Industries came up with a product that weighs 10% of the traditional valves, with an inherent linear characteristic as a replacement. It also has the advantage that fail-safe actions are easily attainable. It also brings about that technology like smart positioners and buss systems can be used to their full potential.

These valves proved in real live tests to outlast traditional valves by far. Tests were done in gold mines, Platinum mines, Copper Mines, Phosphate Mines, Coal Mines, as well as in various slurry applications in the Iron and Steel Industry including on lime control.

Combined with our knowledge on control and plant processes we are able to consult and market our complete range of Ragmax valves, actuators and positioners in all areas and basically solve all problematic control, abrasive and on/off applications.

With a product that is now fully developed and patented, Ragon Industries are growing to be a world leader in control and shut off valves in the industry. These valves are currently exported to South America, Australia and Europe and all Africa countries (Sierra Leone, Lesotho, Botswana, and Zambia)
